Two passenger-car (ro-pax) ferries ordered by the Australian TT-Line will be completed at the Rauma shipyard in 2024. These ships are  designed for a specific route, connecting Australia and its state of Tasmania.

This particular sea route on Bass Strait is known for rough weather, which demands a lot of vessels – and their designers. Planneri had big projects in the basic and manufacturing design of ships.

The ships, called "Tasmanians" at the shipyard, can each take 1,800 passengers. There is more than 4,000 lane meters of cargo space. Ships run on liquefied natural gas and diesel.

In the home port, ships are eagerly awaited, as they are vital for the security of maintenance. In addition, they are expected to boost Tasmania's tourism and economy.
