Notra: “We consider Planneri as our own design agency.”
Notra Oy is a company founded in 2019, specialising in industrial maintenance and projects. Today, Notra Group consists of five companies employing around 200 professionals.
Planneri Group has been a trusted partner for Notra from the very beginning.
“We see Planneri as an extension of our own organisation, as our own design agency. We carry out many turnkey projects, such as factory relocations. They involve, among other things, piping design. We also use Planneri for specialist design and to support mechanical design,” says Tomi Ojanen of Notra.
“We’ve delivered a wide range of work for Notra recently: hydraulic design in a modernisation project, interpreting old diagrams, interviewing end users and understanding their needs, diagram-level solutions, component selection together with suppliers, and structural analysis. In a nutshell, project coordination at a comprehensive level. At the moment, we are working on piping and mechanical design,” says Project Manager Matti Karvonen of Planneri Industry.
Notra’s main industries are food processing and the marine sector, but according to Ojanen, all areas of technology are familiar. One interesting recent project was the modernisation of three railway track maintenance machines for NRC Group.
“In the NRC project, Planneri has carried out hydraulic and compressed air design. Planneri is a reliable partner even in highly demanding projects where design needs to be both fast and accurate. Our long and close cooperation is reflected in cost-efficient design and high-quality results,” Ojanen says.
Notra is headquartered in Rauma. Ojanen highlights the close proximity of Planneri Group as an advantage. It makes collaboration easier, as designers need to visit the site.
Ojanen sees a strong future for Notra Group. Industrial investment is picking up again, and projects are becoming more active. There is also a lot of positive development in the marine sector, which brings opportunities for both Planneri Group and Notra Group.
